Kaizer Chiefs transfer news: Jessica Motaung hints at more signings

Kaizer Chiefs Marketing Director Jessica Motaung has hinted that the club isn’t done in the transfer market as the window period is still open.

Kaizer Chiefs Marketing Director Jessica Motaung has hinted that the club isn’t done in the transfer market as the window period is still open.

Chiefs have, so far, made eight new signings while they have released a whopping 11 as reported on The South African in an attempt to end their seven-year trophy drought.

Those who were bought include Yusuf Maart, Ashley du Preez and Zitha Kwinika among others, and Motaung said should they bring in anyone new, they will let the public know.

And Motaung is glad that the Chiefs decision to overhaul the squad and sign new players has sparked excitement among the club fans.

Media reports suggest that Chiefs are in talks with at least two more players in Braga midfielder Kobamelo Kodisang and Pule Mmodi of Golden Arrows.

KAIZER CHIEFS MIGHT NOT BE DONE IN THE TRANSFER MARKET

“It is still the signing window. So, when everything is done, we will let you know, but if there are certainly new announcements coming, it will be made to the public,” Motaung told Sowetan.

“I’m glad that the supporters are excited and I think it is important that they are part of the journey.

“We want them to support the players that we bought together and we are also excited that we now have 100% of fans in the stadium with the way things look. So, we are really keen for the new season to start,” added Motaung.
