Ex-Kaizer Chiefs starlet signs for Motsepe Foundation Championship side

All the teams are busy reinforcing their squads for the new season, including those that campaign in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Ayanda Rorwana has secured a move to MM Platinum also known as La Masia in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

Rorwana joined La Masia on a free transfer after having spent the last few months struggling to find a club following his departure from Chiefs.

After giving his all for the Chiefs Diski Challenge team for years, Rorwana was promoted to the first team in 2019 but he was never part of the senior team.

It is for that reason Chiefs decided to loan him out to Swallows FC in the First Division in 2019 where he spent almost two years before returning to Naturena in January 2021.

Rorwana was then sent to Pretoria Callies whom he joined on loan in February 2021 but he was back at Chiefs a few months later following the expiry of his loan deal.

The Soweto giants then released the now 24-year-old midfielder in order to allow him to sign for a club of his choice as they still couldn’t accommodate him.

And Rorwana can now start afresh and try to revive his career with La Masia without any pressure, and his experience in the league is definitely what the club will be looking to benefit from.
