Kaizer Chiefs are doing the most behind the scenes to hold on to the players they consider as part of their future.

The latest news coming from Naturena is that Amakhosi have handed utility player Reeve Frosler a new three-year deal.

Soccer Laduma reports that Frosler’s new deal, which will come into effect from 1 July 2022, will expire in June 2025.

Frosler’s current deal was set to expire in June, and that alone left a few of Amakhosi fans panicking given that he was eligible to sign a pre-contract elsewhere.

EUROPEAN INTEREST IN KAIZER CHIEFS’ FROSLER

The Amakhosi management should give themselves a pat on the back for securing the services of Frosler for the next three years.

And that’s because Frosler was linked with unnamed clubs from France and Germany in November 2021 – and Chiefs would have kicked themselves at the prospect of losing him for free.

Major League Soccer outfit Nashville SC were also reported to be huge admirers of Frosler, but whoever wants him now will have to buy him out of his contract with Chiefs.

Chiefs are expected to announce Frosler’s new deal when on deadline day of the January transfer window next Monday.
