Kaizer Chiefs transfer news: Amakhosi set their sights on former PSL Footballer of the Year!

Kaizer Chiefs have identified their newest target for the January transfer window – and he currently plays for defending PSL champions Mamelodi Sundowns!

Sibusiso Vilakazi, the 2013/14 Player of the Season currently plays for the Brazilians, but is reportedly looking to revive his career elsewhere – and it could take place with Amakhosi.

According to Goal, the star has been linked to the Soweto giants despite signing a four-year contract extension in 2020 with Masandawana.

This means Amakhosi will have to fork out more to buy him out of his remaining two years, but it could very well be worth it.

Sibusiso Vilakazi would join several former team-mates at Kaizer Chiefs

Vilakazi is a PSL veteran and would join the likes of former Mamelodi Sundowns players Keagan Dolly, Khama Billiat, Leonardo Castro and Ramahlwe Mphahlele under coach Stuart Baxter at Naturena.

Meanwhile, George Maluleka could be on his way out of Mamelodi Sundowns if recent reports are to be believed.
