Kaizer Chiefs transfer news: Amakhosi offer star an exit package BUT…

Kaizer Chiefs are reported to have offered one of their star players an exit package during the January transfer window.

Soccer Laduma reports that Amakhosi wanted to terminate Kearyn Baccus BUT the midfielder rejected the offer to leave the club.

Baccus hasn’t been a regular since Stuart Baxter came in as head coach at the end of last season, and chances are that he won’t be given a chance for the remainder of the season.

BACCUS COULD LEAVE KAIZER CHIEFS FOR FREE

Baccus is into the final six months of his contract with Chiefs, and his lack of game time means he could leave Naturena for free.

He arrived on the recommendation of former Chiefs mentor Ernst Middendorp two years ago, and he was dubbed one of the best midfielders at the time.

Baccus’ experience of playing in Australia put him ahead of his peers at Chiefs and he proved it with some scintillating performaces in that midfield.

However, Amakhosi’s decision to chop and change coaches saw Bacuss being reduced to a spectator in recent months.

The 30-year-old has featured just three times for the Soweto giants so far this season without any goal or assist.

Overall, Baccus has played 48 matches for the Glamour Boys, scoring twice and assisting in four other goals in official matches.
