Kaizer Chiefs top boss breaks silence on Arthur Zwane’s future!

A senior official at Kaizer Chiefs has responded to sacking demands aimed at Arthur Zwane by a section of the club’s fans

Kaizer Chiefs Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jnr has broken his silence over the future of head coach Arthur Zwane.

The Glamour Boys suffered another loss over the weekend at hands of Golden Arrows, prompting the fans to call for Zwane’s sacking.

Despite making a number of promising signings at the beginning of the season, Zwane’s side haven’t showed much promise.

The Glamour Boys lack fight, urgency and most importantly unity. They’re well out of the league title race, and are slipping further and further away from a top three finish.

Top boss Kaizer Motaung Jnr however has urged fans to ‘calm down’ regarding the club’s situation!

“From the board of directors to our Chairman, we’re fully behind the coach and it’s our job to provide the right infrastructure and support as we can,” the Kaizer Chiefs sporting director said as quoted by IdiskiTimes.

“The thing is, it’s a tricky one too because we’re facing Pirates. For example, a Pirates have this perceived amazing run, but who are three points ahead of us, we’ve drawn the same amount of games and they’ve won one more than us.

“We’ve scored one more goal, so it’s fine margins, and fine margins also in perception, we have a team above us who hasn’t won a game in the past seven but they sitting number [four].

“So at the moment in time the most important thing is a lot of calmness and support.”

Zwane comments on BOO BOYS!

“Yes [they were booing me]. Look, it’s within their rights. I mean they are disappointed because they believed we should have won this game,” Arthur Zwane said following Kaizer Chiefs’ 3-2 loss against Golden Arrows.

“I also believed we should have wrapped it up in the first half. We let ourselves down and I understand their frustrations.”
