In recent years, Chiefs have promoted Samkelo Zwane, Wandile Duba and Mduduzi Shabalala. They are now set to be joined by a fresher generation in Mfundo Vilakazi and striker Donay Johnson. The current Amakhosi squad also features other generations of players promoted firm the academy. You can go as far back as veteran goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune, who has spent his whole career at the club thus far. There is also the generation of Happy Mashiane, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Sabelo Radabe

Now, according to the latest from Soccer-Laduma, 15-year-old striker Neo Bohloko has attracted overseas interest.

Bohloko a top prospect at Chiefs

“It’s early to say much about the club in Belgium now because it may disrupt everything for the boy (Bohloko). The officials and the scouts of the club have been following the boys progress for some time now and they are happy. But there are other things Chiefs as the mother club have to look at. This is before they can just allow the boy to leave.

“Things like school, family and even his age. He is only 15 and they have to make sure that he is ready for a move to Europe mentally and physically as well. No doubt he is a very good player. No question about that. But is he ready right now or can wait a bit. But also if you look at Belgium it’s not very bad because the pressure is not the same like in England, Spain, Italy or even Germany. So, let’s wait as to what will come out of this but the interest from Belgium is very strong for Neo (Bohloko),” said a source to the publication.

Attracting European interest

Should the opportunity arise, should Bohloko take it while still young? Or wait for further development at Chiefs?
