Golden Arrows coach Vusumuzi Vilakazi has claimed that top Kaizer Chiefs target Pule Mmodi is available.

Arrows are willing to listen to offers for the player in a bid to avoid losing him to a free transfer.

The Durban club could also be frustrated at the persistent links between Mmodi and Kaizer Chiefs which have yet to materialise into a concrete offer for the player.

Golden Arrows would like to make it clear that they are not holding the playmaker back in any way.

“I think I have spoken about Pule’s matter, but I will repeat it again: Pule can leave the club any time,” the coach said according to Times LIVE.

“But that’s if Pule has an offer on the table, because the aim is not to keep Pule [at Arrows].

“If there’s an opportunity for the club to make money, Pule will be sold to any other team that wants to buy him.

“But as long as he is here with us, he is our player and we will work with him because he is also prepared to work with us.”

Golden Arrows are under pressure to keep pace with the likes of Amazulu and Royal AM, though they do not have the same resources as their Durban neighbours.

Golden Arrows call for focus

There is a suggestion that the club doesn’t appreciate Kaizer Chiefs trying to turn the head of their skipper.

Golden Arrows are a club who should be targeting a top eight finish.

However, they currently languish in 10th spot on the log.

Abafana Besthende have won just one of their last five matches in all competitions.
