Kaizer Chiefs striker target says no thanks

According to @sahil_e_ on X, via transfermarkt, Power Dynamos striker Andy Boyeli has chosen a switch to Sekhukhune despite offers from Chiefs, Sundowns and others. The 23-year-old Congolese star has been prolific for his team, bagging three goals in four CAF Champions League appearances last term. That goes with 17 goals in the Zambian Premier League. Is Babina Noko landing the bargain on the window?

Jasond didn’t cut the mustard!

25-year-old Colombian striker Jasond Gonzalez failed to score for the club in 13 appearances across all competitions. He didnโ€™t manage a single assist either. In April, iDiskiTimes reported that Chiefs wouldnโ€™t sign the player permanently.

โ€œKaizer Chiefs have opted against taking the option in Jasond Gonzalez contract to make his loan move permanent. This publication has learnt, that the physical striker will return to Bolivian club Real Santa Cruz at the end of the 2023/24 season. His loan deal, which had an option to make the deal permanent for $180,000 (R3.3 million) will not be pursued further after failing to score in his 12 games for Amakhosi.โ€ wrote the publication.

Nabi identified a Botswanan striker

According to UnplayableZA on X, Nasreddine Nabi has zeroed in on Tumisang Orebonye as his first potential signing as head coach at Naturena. The 28-year-old striker plays under Nabi at FAR Rabat and has 40 caps for the Botswana National team alongside Amakhosi centre-back Thatayaone Ditlhokwe. The prolific hitman hasย four goals and an assist from 15 league appearances in 2023-2024. Thatโ€™s a healthy ratio of direct goal contributions. Orebonye only joined the club in January on a long contract, so Chiefs would need to shell out a hefty transfer fee. The 1.80m striker, who has featured in this seasonโ€™s CAF Champions League, is valued at โ‚ฌ450k (R8.7 million) byย transfermarkt.
