Kaizer Chiefs starting XI predicted
Bruce Bvuma started the season in goal and earned a clean sheet albeit in a disappointing stalemate against TS Galaxy. While there are rumours that Itumeleng Khune is set to return between the sticks, Bvuma might be the better option for Stuart Baxter.
The back four should also remain unchanged with Njabulo Blom doing a standout job filling in at right back, with the experienced trio of Sifiso Hlanti and centre backs Erick Mathoho and Daniel Cardoso beside him.
Holding midfielders fancied
In midfield, Baxter has favoured playing with two defensive midfielders in Cole Alexander and Phathutshedzo Nange. While the setup doesn’t enthuse many fans, the pairing put in a solid display in the opening game of the season against TS Galaxy.
A roaming attacking midfield role could be handed to Bernard Parker, but Baxter may turn to Nkosingiphile Ngcobo to provide a little more verve and vigour to Kaizer Chiefs on the transition or just in build up play.
Keagan Dolly is likely to join Khama Billiat and Samir Nurkovic up front for Kaizer Chiefs. Nurkovic looked out of sorts in the goalless draw against the Rockets, but has been given the backing of his coach.
