Former Kaizer Chiefs star to be discarded by PSL rivals

A former Kaizer Chiefs star looks set to become a free agent once again following another disappointing season in the PSL.

Former Kaizer Chiefs and Bidvest Wits midfielder Phathutshedzo Nange’s contract at SuperSport United is set to be terminated.

The talented midfielder joined Matsatsatsantsa at the beginning of last season following an underwhelming spell at Kaizer Chiefs.

Nange however failed to knuckle down a starting position at SuperSport United. In fact, the classy midfielder made just seven league appearances for Gavin Hunt’s side last season.

In total, the former Kaizer Chiefs man made 17 appearances for the Tshwane side. Now, reports suggest the club are looking at releasing him before his contract ends!

Former Kaizer Chiefs man to become a free agent again?

According to reputable local publication IDiski Times, Nange is set for a premature exit at SuperSport United!

Nange joined SuperSport United after being released by Kaizer Chiefs at the beginning of last season.

“SuperSport United are understood to be in talks with midfielder Phathutshedzo Nange over a potential contract termination after one just season into his two-year deal,” the publication reported.

“iDiski Times understands that United are currently in talks with Nange. As they are seeking for an agreement to part ways with one year left on his two-year deal with the Tshwane based giants.”

Former Kaizer Chiefs star Bernard Parker looks set to take up his first coaching role.

Parker has been offered a DStv Diski coaching position at his most recent club, TS Galaxy.

The 38-year-old spent 11 incredible years at Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs before joining Galaxy in 2022.

Parker lifted the league title on two occasions with the Glamour Boys while also lifting both the Nedbank Cup and MTN8 trophies.

The former Bafana Bafana star also lifted the Eredivisie title with FC Twente in 2009/10.

Parker showed his incredible determination by recovering from a horror leg-break injury last season, further inscribing his legendary status in the country.

Now, his time as a player appears to be up however the former Kaizer Chiefs star looks set to remain close to the beloved game!

Amakhosi legend set for coaching transition

“PSL legends Vuyo Mere and Bernard Parker look set to move into coaching roles with TS Galaxy. The veteran duo have been offered the chance to form part of the DStv Diski Challenge coaching staff next season,” an IDiski Times report read.
