Kaizer Chiefs just can’t catch a break. Now, one of their key players is in hospital. Here is the latest update.

Dillon Solomons will not be involved in Amakhosi’s final decisive PSL match of the season.

Unfortunately, the star has been hospitalised. Therefore, he will not get the opportunity to play in what would have been his homecoming match against his former side, Cape Town spurs.

CHIEFS PLAYER HOSPITALISED

Solomons took to Instagram to confirm his injury.

“Not the perfect ending to my season, but looking forward to coming back stronger, God’s timing is the best timing,”, the Amakhosi defender wrote.

Furthermore, the star can be seen in hospital with a sling around his left arm. However, the extent of his injury has not been made public yet. We wish him a speedy recovery. Stay tuned to The South African as we update you on his injury status.

CRUCIAL FINAL GAME FOR AMAKHOSI IN CAPE TOWN

Amakhosi are currently clinging on to the final MTN8 spot. As things stand, they are in eighth position heading into their final game of the season.

However, it is extremely tight, with just 2 points separating Chippa United, who are in twelfth place. Meaning that Amakhosi can not afford to drop points. Furthermore, if they win they must ensure that AmaZulua do not better Amakhosi’s result by more than two goals. Chiefs have a goal difference of -3. Whilst, Amakhosi are sitting on -4. Meaning that if Usuthi win their match against Golden Arrows by 3 and the Chiefs win by 1, then Usuthu will secure the final spot.

Therefore, Cavin Johnson is under no illusion that he end his reign as coach on a high with MTN8 qualification at stake.
