Unfortunately, that’s exactly the case that under-fire coach Stuart Baxter faces ahead of a crunch DStv Premiership clash against Benni McCarthy’s AmaZulu in Durban on Saturday.

Amakhosi currently lie in 13th place in the 16-team log after five matches after a single win, two defeats and two draws.

Making matters worse for supporters of the Glamour Boys is the fact that the Soweto giants have had an EASY draw to kick off their season!

Kaizer Chiefs defender Sifiso Hlanti headlines this list of THREE players suspended for this weekend’s DStv Premiership matches as confirmed by the PSL.

Hlanti was dismissed after two bookable offences during Kaizer Chiefs’ goalless draw against Marumo Gallants last time out.

He will thus miss Saturday’s highly-anticipated encounter against last season’s runners-up, Usuthu, before he heads off on international duty with Bafana Bafana in their back-to-back 2022 Soccer World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia the following week.

AmaZulu have started the season slowly and after five matches are in seventh place in the standings with six points, already seven points behind defending champions and current table-toppers Mamelodi Sundowns.

The other two players forced out of action this weekend are Marumo Gallants midfielder Celimpilo Ngema who was also sent off during the clash against Kaizer Chiefs last weekend when he was shown a straight red card.

As a result he will miss the next three matches, starting with Sunday’ clash against Golden Arrows.

Finally, bottom-of-the-log TS Galaxy will be without the services of Marks Munyai for their match against newcomers Sekhukhune United after the 30-year-old received his marching orders in the recent 4-2 defeat to Royal AM.
