Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs on Monday announced five new signings, bringing to seven the total number of players lured to Naturena ahead of next season.

Amakhosi also confirmed the contract lengths for each player.

Kaizer Chiefs are not done in the transfer market and are still expected to sign Yusuf Maart from Sekhukhune United.

When one considers that the club discarded 10 players, there are still gaps to be filled.

Those signed to date are Dillon Solomons, Kamohelo Mahlatsi, George Matlou, Siyethemba Sithebe, Ashley du Preez and Zitha Kwinika, while DStv Diski Challenge starlet Mduduzi Shabalala has also moved up to join the first team.

KAIZER CHIEFS’ SIGNINGS TO DATE

Dillon Solomons: Signed from Swallows on a four-year deal, keeping the 26-year-old at the club until the age of 30. 

Kamohelo Mahlatsi: Also signed from the Dube Birds, the 23-year-old has been given a three-year contract until 2025. 

George Matlou: The third Swallows acquisition, has signed a two-year deal which will keep him at the at the club until 2024, but the 23-year-old has an option in his contract to extend for a further year. 

Siyethemba Sithebe: His move to Amakhosi from AmaZulu has finally materialised. The 29-year-old has signed a two-year deal, keeping him at the club until June 2024.

Zitha Kwinika: Returns to Naturena having come through the youth structures at the club. The 28-year-old defender has penned a three-year deal after a successful stint with Stellenbosch FC.

Ashley du Preez: Arguably the fastest forward in the PSL, the 24-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the Kaizer Chiefs, mirroring that of his former Stellies team-mate, Kwinika.

Mduduzi Shabalala: The Kaizer Chiefs Youth Development Academy product, who has been knocking on the first team door, has been rewarded with a three-year deal.
