Kaizer Chiefs record-breaker spotted in Cape Town

The transfer window is on. A former Kaizer Chiefs attacking midfielder has been spotted in Cape Town with coach Ernst Middendorp.

Careers go on after Kaizer Chiefs. One of Amakhosi‘s record-breakers, Keletso Sifama, has been spotted at Cape Town Spurs.

FORMER KAIZER CHIEFS STAR AT CAPE TOWN SPURS

Sifama is a famous Glamour Boy for breaking Wiseman Meyiwa’s senior debut record of 17 years, 8 months, and 17 days. The 21-year-old from Katlehong was later loaned to Maritzburg United before a permanent move to Casric Stars in the lower division. The attacker made just five appearances for Sekhukhune United in the Dstv Premiership last season. Meanwhile, The SouthAfrican exclusively spotted the former Kaizer Chiefs star at Ikamva training under the watchful eye of his former coach Ernst Middendorp.

It remains to be seen if the Motsepe Foundation Championship (MFC) side will announce a deal or not.

AMAKHOSI IN TURKEY

Staying with Kaizer Chiefs, the club’s Marketing and Commercial Director Jessica Motaung has made new friends in Turkey, where the club is currently busy with pre-season training.

“Kaizer Chiefs Marketing and Commercial Director, Jessica Motaung, paid a courtesy visit to the Embassy of Türkiye in Pretoria on Tuesday, to meet the with Turkish Ambassador to South Africa, H.E Ms. Aysegul Kandas. The meeting celebrated the successful start of the Club’s pre-season camp in Türkiye, which forms part of a strategic partnership strengthening football ties between the country and the Club,” the club reported.

“The relationship between Kaizer Chiefs and Türkiye has a rich history, with legendary players such as Donald ‘Ace’ Khuse, John ‘Shoes’ Moshoeu, Fani Madida, Steve Komphela, Pollen Ndlanya, and recently Siphiwe Tshabalala all having graced the Turkish league. Also, Turkish-born coach, Muhsin Ertugral led the Club to success on two separate occasions.

“Ambassador Kandas emphasised the significance of sports diplomacy, stating, “Football transcends borders. We welcome Kaizer Chiefs to Türkiye and are eager to explore opportunities for mutual growth and sharing of knowledge in the beautiful game.

“The team continues its pre-season camp in Türkiye and will engage in friendly matches against Turkish teams, while enjoying cultural exchange,” the not concluded.

Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs will announce the friendly match fixtures in due course.
