Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly contemplating whether or not to sign former Stellenbosch FC forward Fuad Johnson.

According to reports, the 19-year-old Johnson is training with Amakhosi in the hope of landing a contract with the Soweto giants.

“According to sources, Fuad Johnson is currently training with the Gauteng-based side and an offer could take place for the free agent who recently parted ways with Stellenbosch in June,” the Kickoff website reported.

“It is understood that the 19-year-old featured in a friendly behind closed doors against the senior Chiefs side over the weekend.”

Johnson is currently a free agent having been released by the Cape side amid a mass clear-out ahead of the new season.

He left Stellenbosch reportedly after being unhappy with what Stellies had offered him financially to remain at the club.

Kaizer Chiefs have already signed striker Ashley du Preez and defender Zitha Kwinika from Stellenbosch FC.
