Five strikers linked with Kaizer Chiefs

Balint Bajner

The 32-year-old Hungarian hasn’t settled in Europe after failed stints with West Ham and Borussia Dortmund among others. The Glamour Boys should be shifting their search to other targets, because this ain’t it chief.

Dino Ndlovu

Speaking of experienced 32-year-old strikers, Dino Ndlovu is also being linked with Chiefs. Remember him? He’s got the know-how of scoring goals in the Champions League. Ndlovu is a free agent after Chinese Super League outfit Changchun Yatai parted ways with him. Perhaps this is one to watch.

Amanuel Gebremichael

The 23-year-old Ethiopian is a star for his local club Saint George. After missing out on long-time target Abubeker Nasir who joined Sundowns, Chiefs won’t be keen for another attacking target to slip through their fingers. These links sound quite credible. What might count against him is his relative inexperience.

Fiston Mayele

The DR Congo and Young Africans man has been linked with Chiefs before, but his club insisted that he was a key part of their push for a CAF Champions League place. They failed in that quest, so the rumours have resurfaced. Don’t be surprised if Chiefs push for this one to get done.

Boris Kopitović

Amakhosi are keen to recruit the Montenegrin hitman whose contract with Singapore outfit Tampines Rovers expires next month. He’s a proven goal-scorer, having struck a remarkable 40 times in 33 matches for the Rovers last term. Could this be the marquee signing to appease fans? The 27-year-old does tick a lot of boxes.
