Daniel Cardoso is one of several players expected to leave Naturena in coming weeks, according to iDiskiTimes.

He is set to join several players on their way out of Chiefs.

Cardoso joined Amakhosi from Free State stars in 2015.

Since then, he served the club as a key man for 7 years. He has been the regular first-choice centre-back for Amakhosi for most of his time with the club. Offering himself up as a rock-solid defender who bring’s composure to players around him.

However, this past season was one of his least impressive. He made several uncharacteristic mistakes at the back, often caught out of position. Not only that, but his storied partnership with Eric Mathoho has lost a lot of vigour and consistency.

The two club veterans have now shown the shown the same form together for several seasons. With Kaizer Motaung announcing Arthur Zwane as the new head coach, we may very well see more young blood being given a chance.
