“Kaizer Chiefs is a big team with big expectations, so for me to be linked with such a team, is an honour.” – Mpho Mlangeni told SoccerLaduma.

“And the fact that my club Callies thinks I’m worth R1 million, that has given me self-motivation as I never thought I would be worth so much.

“I pray to God he makes the move possible to Chiefs as I don’t think there is any player out there who wouldn’t want to play for Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates or Mamelodi Sundowns.

“But I am still contracted to Callies and I have to respect that and give my all in the upcoming season, which is my last year at Callies.”

In other news, Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Manqoba Mnqgithi believes Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are NOT their competitors this season.

The DStv Premiership is set to get underway next week and many expect the Glamour Boys and Buccaneers to challenge Sundowns.

But this won’t be the case according to the Mamelodi Sundowns mentor.

Mnqgithi believes last season’s fellow top four sides (Cape Town City, Royal AM and Stellenbosch) will battle it out for the league title with the Brazilians.

Mnqgithi believes Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates signed too many new faces, making it impossible for them to ‘gel’ this season.

Sundowns coach makes SHOCK Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates prediction!

“Other teams still have to fight to move from position six to position three and others have to fight to move into the top half of the table.” the Sundowns coach told Citizen.

“The teams who are in direct competition at this stage are Cape Town City, Stellenbosch and Royal AM.

“They are progressing very well as the seasons go by and I still expect them to cause a lot of problems.

“I see that Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs have signed a lot of good players but I understand that it takes a little bit longer for the team to gel when it’s got a lot of new faces,”
