BERNARD PARKER CRIES AFTER KAIZER CHIEFS WIN OVER ORLANDO PIRATES IN THE SOWETO DERBY

As The South African reported on Saturday, Amakhosi claimed the Soweto derby bragging rights with a 2-1 win, thanks to Reeve Frosler and Eric Mathoho’s goals.

Frosler and Mathoho may have enjoyed the scoring glory, but Bernard Parker had a blinder of a performance.

“As a footballer, throughout my career, I always made sure I put in a good performance,” Parker told the club’s media after the game. “Everything else will follow.

“I am a hard worker, throughout my career. I have worked very hard and still working hard to make history.

“This is here, goes out to Kaizer Motaung. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to represent this big club,” Parker added before taping the Amakhosi badge and begins to choke back tears.

“The reason they are the biggest enemies is because they are more or less being put out of business now because of our training methods.

“But we’ve two players who both get hamstring strains, which means there is something not right with our loading. Read the full story here.
