News out of Kaizer Chiefs suggests that Samir Nurkovic has begun to think about making a return home to Europe. Would it be a big loss or will the club secure an extended stay?

NURKOVIC TO LEAVE OR STAY AT KAIZER CHIEFS IN JUNE?

Following his move from the Serbian club Komarno to Naturena in 2019, Nurkovic’s deal with Amakhosi is ending in June, but there’s a one-year option.

While Kaizer Chiefs have suspiciously not taken a decision to extend at this time, reports in Soccer Laduma’s latest issue claim the 29-year-old is thinking of leaving.

According to the report, Nurkovic is contemplating a move back home to Europe since his failure to recapture form after a long injury.

“According to Siya sources, the player is considering a move back to Europe,” the outlet said.

The report added to state that SuperSport United and AmaZulu have shown interest in the big number nine.

Kaizer Chiefs fans will be waiting in bated breath until Tuesday, 22 March when the arbitration will reveal the case outcome.

KAIZER CHIEFS DELIVER CASE TO ARBITRATION

The Glamour Boys stood in front the SAFA arbitrator Nazeer Cassim SC on Tuesday and Wednesday following the failure to honour two PSL games late last year.

After suffering an overwhelming COVID-19 outbreak in the team and staff, Amakhosi failed to appear for the matches against Golden Arrows and Cape Town City in December 2021.

Following today’s appearance, Kaizer Chiefs will learn the key outcome on Tuesday 22 March. The club will either lose six points or be permitted to replay the two games. Read the full story here.
