Meanwhile, Amakhosi are also now in pole position for another coveted striker in the shape of Ranga Chivaviro from Marumo Gallants.

The 30-year-old marksman’s fine form in the DStv Premiership and CAF Confederation Cup this season has alerted a number of suitors, including Kaizer Chiefs, with his 17 goals across both competitions in 30 matches attracting interest from within Mzansi and also abroad. Chiefs, Richards Bay, Sekhukhune and now Tanzanian giants Young Africans are all said to be keen. According to reports, Chivaviro recently turned down a R3m offer from Libyan side Al Akhdar and is strongly considering a move to Naturena.
