The thrilling action we’ve seen so far in the 2022/23 DStv Premiership season suggests a competitive campaign lies ahead of us.

What can we expect from the ‘Big 3‘ this weekend?

Who would have predicted that last season’s treble winners Mamelodi Sundowns would have tasted defeat by now?

Perhaps their loss to TS Galaxy was one to humble them – and it did – as they returned strong when they humiliated Kaizer Chiefs 4-0 in their last match.

The high-flying ‘Downs will on Saturday meet Sekhukhune United who suffered a 1-0 defeat to Richards Bay FC in their last game.

Babina Noko will have a tough test as the defending champions are looking to make no mistake again.

Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs will be seeking redemption when they take on Richards Bay on Saturday following their embarrassing loss to Masandawana last weekend.

The pressure is on the club’s coach Arthur Zwane who needs to produce desired results soon considering Amakhosi’s demanding fans.

On the other hand, the Natal Rich Boyz began their debut season in the DStv Premiership in fine style and will be full on confidence heading into the match.

Things are looking good for Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro who inspired his side to their second win this season against tricky Royal AM in midweek.

The Buccaneers will want to maintain their good results, but they’ll be up against a desperate SuperSport United who’re hunting points having lost twice and drawn once in their first three games.
