Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates risk losing stars for Soweto Derby

Both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates have star players on the verge of picking up mandatory suspensions from the PSL.

Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates risk losing players to suspension

In the Kaizer Chiefs camp, a yellow card for Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana will see the star striker suspended for the derby on 25 February.

With seven goals in 12 matches for the Glamour Boys, Bimenyimana is their top-scorer in the PSL this season.

Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates are at risk of losing two players to suspension and should either be booked when they host Maritzburg United this weekend.

Attacking threat Deon Hotto is a player that Jose Riveiro could ill-afford to lose ahead of a big fixture.

Hotto is on the brink of suspension having already been booked three times this term.

On the same number of cautions is Nkosinathi Sibisi, who is also at far greater risk of being booked given his defensive deployment.

Orlando Pirates will be without coach Jose Riveiro after he was dispatched from his technical area in the Nedbank Cup win over All Stars.
