Former Kaizer Chiefs player Sydney Moshikaro says Amakhosi won’t be contending for the league title this season.

The Phefeni Glamour Boys have endured a rough patch since 2015, not lifting any silverware under five coaches who have led the club – excluding current mentor Arthur Zwane.

Many Glamour Boys fans are fed up of clapping hands for others and are demanding an instant success from ‘10111’ who’s been tasked with rebuilding the team.

With Kaizer Chiefs having had a nasty start to the new season, Moshikaro says the fans must not panic yet.

‘FANS WILL ALWAYS TARGET THE COACH’ – CHIEFS LEGEND

“There is no reason to panic yet, but the problem is that the team hasn’t won anything in a long time, so it is normal for fans to be frustrated,” said Moshikaro as per KickOff.

“When you tell fans about building, for them that process must happen while results are coming instantly.

“As a coach when things are like this then I would also say give me time with the team, but we all know that with other big teams like Real Madrid when they buy players, they must work it instantly.

“If you buy three players who are professionals, they should fire immediately but if you are using youngsters then the excuse can be that they don’t have experience and they are learning.

“With the way Chiefs has started, their fans must already understand that they are not challenging for the league this season.

“With three defeats in seven games, it is a problem, and it means you must win almost all of your remaining games to be champions which is impossible.

“Fans will always target the coach, but the other thing is that Arthur should be having a starting XI by now.

“Since I’m not at training, I don’t know why he is chopping and changing his team, but he needs to have a consistent line-up because if that is not the case then it becomes a problem.”
