Kaizer Chiefs’ beloved youngster Nkosingiphile Ngcobo has shown his ability is no longer in doubt, what he needs now is consistent end product, according to Isaac Mabotsa.

CHIEFS’ NKOSINGIPHILE NGCOBO NEEDS MORE GOALS

The 22-year-old from Pietermaritzburg has so far delivered two goals and one assist in nine appearances. It is not a mind-blowing return for an attacking midfielder, but Ngcobo is held dear for his potential and DNA as the original Kaizer Chiefs footballer: elegant touch and intelligent skill.

“To be honest, that boy does not have anything else to prove to anyone. If you check, even before Baxter came on board, he was doing well,” Mabotsa told Soccer Laduma.

“But coaches are not the same, though I feel he is a very good player and one for the future for Chiefs,” the former midfielder said.

Mabotsa concluded to say Chiefs’ Nkosingiphile Ngcobo will elevate himself to the next level by getting the ball in the net consistently.

“He can help the team. He played well (towards the end of 2021), but from my side, I think he needs to score more goals.

“That’s one thing that he needs to do. He will come right, as long as they keep on giving him game-time, then his confidence will keep growing,” Mabotso concluded.

TEKO MODISE SAYS DOLLY AND BILLIAT’S COMBINATION CAN BECOME TOXIC

In other Amakhosi news, Teko Modise took some time to analyse Keagan Dolly and Khama Billiat’s sparkling combination for Chiefs this season.

Modise was asked whether Kaizer Chiefs could have enough to challenge Mamelodi Sundowns in the chase for the DStv Premiership title…

“I think Dolly and Billiat when they’re on song, can cause problems for any club. The problem is you rely so much on Keagan [Dolly] to be the creative player,” Teko said. Read the full story here.
