Chiefs: Zwane makes big statement on Saleng – 17 November

Kaizer Chiefs lost to Orlando Pirates last weekend, but it seems that was a specific battle on the field that’s worth a celebration.

Kaizer Chiefs’ Dillan Solomons will particularly enjoy this. His coach Arthur Zwane believes the right-back’s attacking style is the answer to stopping Orlando Pirates’ superstar Monnapule Saleng.

As The South African website reported on Saturday, the Sea Robbers needed penalty shootouts to defeat Amakhosi in the Carling Black Label semi-final.

Speaking after the game, coach Zwane touched on his team’s ability to successfully stop the DStv Premiership’s man of the moment.

According to Zwane, Solomons’ attack-minded style is the tactic that nullifies Saleng’s dangerous ability to score and create goals.

“When Solomons came in, there was no more Saleng. I didn’t see Saleng, and I think he was substituted,” Zwane said as quoted by FARPost.

The coach known as “Mangethe” added to simply say Saleng can’t defend.

“It was pound for pound. We know he can’t defend, so Solly could go forward,” he concluded.
