It’s time for Kaizer Chiefs to return to the pitch again. Amakhosi will host TS Galaxy with the possibility of unleashing a new kid.

Most Kaizer Chiefs fans must have read the disappointing report by now. Caleb Bimenyimana is said to be out with a thigh injury.

A new kid could therefore step up as his replacement upfront.

REPORTS: KAIZER CHIEFS LOSE CALEB BIMENYIMANA

According to the report, the 24-year-old Burundian center forward will be missing from action for around a month.

It is believed that the Chiefs leading goal-scorer has suffered a thigh injury after last weekend’s 2-1 loss to Chippa United.

“SABC Sport has learnt that Bimenyimana, who is currently tied at the top of the league’s goal-scoring charts on six goals with the reigning PSL footballer of the season and Mamelodi Sundowns striker Peter Shalulile, is suffering from a thigh injury and will not play any further part in Amakhosi’s campaign until the domestic game returns after the 2022 FIFA World Cup at the end of December,” the report by the SABC’s Mazola Molefe said.

Following Ashley du Preez and Khama Billiat’s ill-fit and struggles in the center forward role before Caleb’s arrival in September, coach Arthur Zwane might try another solution.

There’s an 18-year-old striker that has been scoring for fun in the reserve team.

Having trained with the first team since the start of the season and featuring in the Macufe Cup, it looks like Duba’s moment is finally here.

Duba’s reserve side coach Vela Khumalo could not praise the young man enough in July.

“Mark my words, you can write this down. Duba is going to be a top striker in the country,” the Chiefs reserve coach told Citizen.

“Yes, we have Mduduzi Shabalala who is a very special player as well as Mfundo Vilakazi. But with Bula (Duba), we have been lacking strikers in South Africa for a very long time now.

“I am telling you, Bula is a deadly striker, I have never seen a deadly striker like him.

“You know, I found Bula playing at one of the teams in the Gauteng Development League down there missing chances and all of that.

“But I saw something special in him and thought to myself if I work on him he is going to be something special.

“I asked him to come to training and Kaizer Chiefs signed him on the second day after scoring four goals in a friendly that we played.

“He is a special talent and he is going to be something big and I don’t see him playing in South Africa for long. He is a player that will play overseas.” –

Zwane is expected to at least include the young Chiefs product on the bench against TS Galaxy on Wednesday night.
