So nine new signings arrived at Kaizer Chiefs in the recently shut transfer window. Let’s take a look at five reasons Yusuf Maart sticks out as a special addition.

As The South African reported in July, Amakhosi finally got their man from Sekhukhune United. As early evidence of his quality, Maart, also known as “Maarinator,” was handed a three-year deal with two additional years as an option.

  1. Maart dictates play and tempo with short and long passes on his right and left feet!
  2. Despite playing as a number six, the former Cape Umoya star pushes up to add numbers in attack, this is also known as a box-to-box number 6
  3. Maart has shown great ability to shoot at goal with both feet
  4. In addition to the ball intelligent ball circulation and runs into the opposition box, Maart tracks back to defend
  5. Lastly, Maart delivered another fascinating layer to his game last weekend, he was put in an advanced number 8 role against SuperSport, the result was a marvelous Man of the Match performance.
