Powerful? Kaizer Chiefs’ line-up with the new signings

Kaizer Chiefs are still in the transfer market shopping but the business on the pitch has to start. Here’s a starting 11 with the new faces.

Kaizer Chiefs’ new eight signings include defenders, midfielders, and forwards. Sounds like what you’d really call a new team. What an exciting time if you follow Amakhosi.

Let’s look at the team with all the new faces while the Glamour Boys have a chance to find a new left-footed central defender and at least one number nine – before the closure of the transfer window on 22 September.

It is not really easy to remember all the new footballers offhand, so let’s give you a quick reminder with a full list:

  3. Ashley Du Preez
  4. Dillan Solomons
  5. Lehlogonolo Matlou
  6. Kamohelo Mahlatsi
  7. Ashley Du Preez
  8. Mduduzi Shabalala (promoted).

With the exclusion of the 17-year-old Shabalala, we have formed a starting line-up that features all new signings.

Due to the injury that sat him out for the best part of pre-season, we have excluded Kamohelo Mahlatsi.

  8. Right forward – Keagan Dolly
  9. Left forward – Khama Billiat
  10. Attacking midfielder – Siyethemba Sithebe
  11. Striker – Ashley Du Preez.

Will coach Arthur Zwane look at this article and chuckle to himself because we got it wrong or right? 

We will find out when we read the starting 11 before 17:30 on Saturday at Chatsworth against Royal AM.
