Brutal: Chiefs fans hammer one scapegoat in City defeat

Look away if your’e a Kaizer Chiefs that believes in Siyabonga Ngezana. The club’s fans have written off the central defender.

Kaizer Chiefs fansa and Arthur Zwane were left stunned by Cape Town City on Tuesday night, thanks to a 2-0 victory for Eric Tinkler‘s Cityzens.

After making a single change in midfield with Phathutshedzo Nange coming in for the suspended Yusuf Maart, the Glamour Boys simply failed to shine against the Cityzens.

The goals of the night came via Venezuelan forward Darwin Gonzalez in the fifth minute, before the towering Congolese defender Nathan Fasika made it 2-0 on 62 minutes.

Sadly, Amakhosi’s central defender Ngezana was questionable for both goals.

The first one was an apparent obstruction on goalkeeper Brandon Petersen, while Ngezana was also caught sleeping as Fasika rose above him to head home for 2-0.

But was Ngezana truly to blame for the entire result? Fans on Twitter seem to believe so.

Soon after the result, Ngezana’s name was trending on Twitter for the wrong reasons. He should surely avoid the app to prevent serious self-harm.

The Sebokeng-born player was not without anyone coming in his defense. The prominent Mamelodi Sundowns supporter Pro Philani sent some points for Ngezana haters to think about.
