Perhaps Pule Mmodi and Kaizer Chiefs were simply not meant to be. A report says Amakhosi simply decided against signing the hot winger.

REPORTS: KAIZER CHIEFS LOSE INTEREST IN PULE MMODI
With the Soweto giants widely reported to have high interest in signing the 29-year-old Bafana Bafana star, the deal seemed imminent way before the January transfer window opened.
Orlando Pirates suddenly emerged to take the lead to sign the former Uthongathi attacker – but why? Well, it is believed Chiefs had a change of mind.
“Chiefs is out of the race in Pule Mmodi chase,” a source told Soccer Laduma.

“I know this for a fact because Chiefs were contacted this week about the availability of the player but they said they are not interested.

“A top official from Chiefs said the club has no interest in Mmodi because they are covered in his position.
“That left the player with no choice but to assess his other options hence the big possibility to sign for Pirates,” the source concluded.
