Reports – Kaizer Chiefs legend Tshabalala to sign for Gauteng club?

Kaizer Chiefs legend Siphiwe Tshabalala is believed to be cleaning his boots and bag before training with a DStv Premiership club in Gauteng.

Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Siphiwe Tshabalala, known as ‘Shabba’ or ‘Ntho Tse Monate’ could be back on the PSL match day green grass. 

KAIZER CHIEFS LEGEND TSHABALALA TO JOIN SWALLOWS FC?

As you might have read on The South African’s website last week, the 37-year-old Soweto-born star assured he is not retired.

Tshabalala, who began his PSL football at Free State Stars, added to say he has not been desperate to find a new club.

The Amakhosi legend told his fans a few offers have come his way but he was taking his time to make the right choice.

The latest update now say the FIFA 2010 World Cup icon could be wearing the maroon and white of Swallow FC.

“[Simphiwe Tshabalala] is earmarked to start training with Swallows FC,” a report said in Soccer Laduma’s latest issue. 

“In fact, ‘Shabba’ was linked with a move to Swallows last year.

“When the Siya Crew approached Birds coach Dylan Kerr for comment, he confirmed that he has been informed that Tshabalala would be joining them for an assessment.”

Will we see “Shabba” in a Swallows shirt before the end of this season or in 2022/23? We shall find out in the next month or so.

REPORTS: AMAKHOSI TO EMPLOY KHUNE AFTER RETIREMENT?

In slightly related news, Tshabalala’s former teammate Itumeleng Khune is likely to be a one-club man throughout his career.

According to a new report, the 34-year-old Khune, who was handed a two-year with an option to extend last season, could work at the club post-retirement. Read the full story here.
