So Siyethemba Sithebe is headed to the mighty Kaizer Chiefs next season. As a modern attacking player, what positions does he offer?

Kaizer Chiefs will have a new dreadlocked star that will bring back memories of Siphiwe Tshabalala and Reneilwe Letsholonyane. His name is Siyethemba Sithebe.
As The South African previously reported a few months ago, the 29-year-old attacker from KwaZulu Natal’s Newscastle declined a new offer from Usuthu before reportedly putting pen to paper on a pre-contract with Amakhosi.
The decision infuriated the AmaZulu board before the player was frozen out of the playing squad since January.
But what will he offer Kaizer Chiefs in terms of his playing positions as a modern player?
Having started his professional career at Mbombela United in the GladAfrica Championship, Sithebe caught Usuthu’s eye before later doing the same to Chiefs.
According to Transfermarkt, Sithebe played no less than 122 games for the Durban club, which included eight goals and nines assists.
Sithebe was deployed in four different positions, in midfield and wide.
Based on the above and looking at Kaizer Chiefs’ squad, it seems quite clear Sithebe will be useful in the number 10 role to compete with Bernard Parker, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, and Khama Billiat (when he plays in the 10).
