Kaizer Chiefs outcast Manyama linked with exciting PSL club 

Calling all Lebogang Manyama fans. The former Kaizer Chiefs star is reportedly considered by one of his former PSL clubs.

Moving from Kaizer Chiefs to Cape Town City would not be too much of a downer, would it? The Cape club is one of the most alluring brands in the local game.

MANYAMA LINKED WITH CAPE TOWN CITY AFTER KAIZER CHIEFS EXIT

As The South African reported last week, the 31-year-old from Tembisa was one of the shockers among Amakhosi‘s list of eight released players but there was little much the club could do after just 11 appearances last season.

According to new reports, Manyama could possibly return to his former club Cape Town City, where he enjoys legendary status as the PSL Player of the Season in 2016/17.

It is said that City, who are in the market for players with CAF Champions League experience, first want to assess Manyama’s recent injury before offering a contract.

“It has reached the iDiskiTimes desk that City are now is interested in getting the experienced midfielder as they will be participating in CAF Champions League in the 2022/23 season with a source close to the player stating they are ready to sign him, but first, they will have to look at the injury he recently suffered on whether it’s long-term or something minor,” the outlet said.

SUPERSPORT UNITED AND SEKHUKHUNE UNITED IN THE MIX

Additionally, his former club SuperSport and Sekhukhune are believed to be also in the race for his signature.

SuperSport United and Sekhukhune United are among the clubs that are also said to be monitoring the situation, however, the latter may be put off by his wage demands as they look towards bolstering other areas of their squad first,” the report added.
