Kaizer Chiefs: Zwane suggests Nurkovic, Baccus, and co. don’t fit Amakhosi?

Does Kaizer Chiefs’ coach Arthur Zwane care if the likes of Samir Nurkovic and Kearyn Baccus see these comments? Probably doesn’t care.

Just days after claiming his first Kaizer Chiefs win, and following three straight defeats as the interim coach, Arthur Zwane believes that Amakhosi will be a more dangerous side with two more players in attack.

Zwane made the strong point ahead of facing the DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday.

According to Zwane, Ka Bo Yellow has the ideal number nine, Peter Shalulile, who is superb at holding play for attacking players.

The former winger added to plainly say that his Kaizer Chiefs team does not have a Shalulile and an explosive number eight to combine with the likes of Khama Billiat and Keagan Dolly.

“We are going to have to plan for them [Sundowns], like we planned for this one [Marumo Gallants], and we will see how we can also exploit the space behind Sundowns defence, because we don’t have those explosive players in our team at the moment,” Zwane said via Kaizer Chiefs’ website.

“We only have Khama and Keagan, who is also explosive, but in our number eight and number nine positions, we don’t have those explosive players.

The minute we improve on that aspect we will also be deadly going forward. We will try and work on that,” Zwane concluded.

Not sure how this affects the likes of Nurkovic, Baccus, Bernard Parker, Leonardo Castro, Lebogang Manyama, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, and the young Sabelo Radebe

These players are Zwane’s current options in the number eight and nines positions. It therefore remains to be seen if the mentioned players will respond in the remaining three fixtures or simply move on next season.
