REPORTS: KAIZER CHIEFS REJECTED SHABALALA EUROPEAN OFFER

As The South African website previously reported in May, the young sensation flew out to Europe to hold trials in Belgium and Spain.

It was there he impressed Belgium’s KVC Westerlo before the club offered a deal that was reportedly rejected by Amakhosi.

“Kaizer Chiefs have promoted Mduduzi Shabalala to the club’s first team but not before turning down a €200 000 (=R3.4 million) offer for his services,” Soccer Laduma reported in their latest edition.

IT’S NOT ALL OVER

The publication added to reveal that the Belgian club have not yet thrown the towel. The report concluded to say that Westerlo will be continuing to follow the 18-year-old with hopes of tabling another offer.

“However, Westerlo are not giving up on Shabalala just yet,” the report added.

“According to Siya sources, the Belgian giants will be keeping an eye on Shabalala’s progress in coach Zwane’s second team in the 2022/23 season and could be back with a new and improved offer in club future,” the outlet concluded.
