The spotlight is always on Kaizer Chiefs – this time it’s more than ever. Here are five things we spotted in 2021/22 so far.

Kaizer Chiefs are already training at Naturena to deliver round two of the 2021/22 season and a new era under Arthur Zwane. Here are some notes we took between August and October…

KAIZER CHIEFS UNDER ARTHUR ZWANE: FIVE THINGS WE’VE NOTED

Following 16 games that included six league wins and one victory in the MTN8, Amakhosi have blown hot and cold – and that is what you get from a new team.

Without further ado, let’s dive straight into the notes…

  1. Sifiso Hlanti became an undisputed first-choice at left-back and super-fit one at that
  2. Dillan Solomons and Reeve Frosler are delivering healthy competition at right-back
  3. Siyethemba Sithebe has had a slow start that has obviously disappointed him
  4. Ashley du Preez also let himself down but showed glimpses of what he can really do
  5. Caleb Bimenyimana could become unreliable regarding his fitness.
