MATHOHO’S ABSENCE FROM THE KAIZER CHIEFS

It has been a while since the 32-year-old played full 90 minutes for the Glamour Boys, you have to go back to the 3rd of May in a 2-1 win over Orlando Pirates.

As far as this relatively new term, the Thahoyandou-born defender has only played one minute in the 2-1 win over SuperSport United.

NO CONTRACT TALKS

With the former Bloemfontein Celtic defender’s contract ending next June, Chiefs and Mathoho have not begun any talks.

Does this hint the end of a decade-long commitment? It does.

“According to Siya sources in the know, the Chiefs hierarchy has yet to open official talks regarding what will happen to “Tower’ in the coming months, with no indication whether he is on his way out or staying beyond June 30,” Soccer Laduma reported in their latest edition.

The report added to suggest that Mathoho could leave as early as the upcoming January transfer window.
