KAIZER CHIEFS GRAB TWO STRAIGHT WINS

Following two separate 1-0 wins over Orlando Pirates and Richards Bay in the past fortnight, Amakhosi are proud to wear gold and black again.

Arthur Zwane’s side enjoyed a day off on Sunday before work began again at training on Monday at Naturena.

While the Glamour Boys will be inactive for the entire week in the DStv Premiership, the focus will switch to the Nedbank Cup last 16 round on Sunday.

Zwane’s side will be at home to the Motsepe Foundation Championship high-flyers Casric Stars. The event will be at the FNB Stadium at 18:00.

Meanwhile, rivals Orlando Pirates will face Venda Football Academy on Saturday, 11 March, while Mamelodi Sundowns have already made the quarter-finals after beating Marumo Gallants 3-1 last week.

ORLANDO PIRATES TO SNATCH KAIZER CHIEFS TARGET?

In other news, the Sea Robbers have turned their gaze on a widely reported Chiefs target.

As it was widely reported in recent months, Amakhosi have been linked with TS Galaxy’s highly-rated central defender Given Msimango, especially with the likes of Erick Mathoho and Thabani Dube linked with departures out of Naturena. “Orlando Pirates are widening their search for a top defender,” the report said. Read the full story here.
