Chiefs legend confirms his coaching qualification 

A new generation of coaches is on the way. One of them will be the Kaizer Chiefs midfield legend Willard Katsande.

Remember when Willard Katsande promised to coach Kaizer Chiefs one day? The former midfielder has now begun his baby steps.

FORMER KAIZER CHIEFS STAR KATSANDE GETS QUALIFIED

​​”I did my CAF D licence in order for me to set the path of my growth since I know what I want,” Katsande told KickOff.

“I owe football because to get to be where I am today is through football. So I owe football.

“This is now my time to share my knowledge to the next generation so they come out better than us.

“With us we tried our level best, but it wasn’t good enough for us to conquer African football,” the player we knew as ‘Salt n Pepper added.

BIG DREAM: ZIMBABWE NATIONAL SIDE

The former Ajax Cape Town star added to reveal his specific coaching dreams in the PSL and in the international game for his homeland.

“I have dreams of moving into coaching because I have the passion and one day, I want to be the head coach of one of the PSL teams,” Katsande added.

“My main objective is to coach the Zimbabwe national team.

“So, this is what drives me to be where I am today.

“Football is about learning every day so l’m learning as each day passes and I hope one day I will reach my target and hope I will be working with people that can add value into my coaching path.

“All I need is to contribute to football because football has been good to me,” the former Chiefs midfield destroyer added.

Meanwhile, Chiefs will be back in action against Arrows on 31 December in uMlazi.
