Listed: Kaizer Chiefs’ SIX coaching changes in 10 years

Failure leads to a high turnover of coaches. It’s been no different for PSL giants Kaizer Chiefs, with six changes in 10 years.

Do most Kaizer Chiefs fans really want Stuart Baxter gone? His departure would be the seventh change in 10 years. We thought Orlando Pirates are the ones who change too much.

KAIZER CHIEFS’ SEVEN CHANGES SINCE 2012

While Kaizer Chiefs have claimed success between 2012 and 2014 under Stuart Baxter, the period that followed his departure left so many ins and outs.

There is a reason of course, the club has not tasted trophy success and champagne in seven seasons. The last title was back in 2014 before Baxter left Kaizer Chiefs.

Looking back from 2012, Amakhosi have had six different coaching stints and that is excluding the interim roles by Donald Ace Khuse and Patrick Mabedi as well as Arthur Zwane.

Check out the list of six changes from 2012 to 2021/22:

  • 2012 – Stuart Baxter
  • 2015 – Steve Komphela
  • 2018 – Giovanni Solinas
  • 2018 – Ernst Middendorp
  • 2020 – Gavin Hunt
  • 2021 – Stuart Baxter.

Will making another change this season bring back the glory days? We doubt it.

Kaizer Chiefs’ management and the most perspective fans know the issue is not the man on the bench.

It is therefore unlikely to see Amakhosi part ways with Baxter but we should always expect drama in football.

WHY AMAKHOSI ARE MOST LIKELY TO RELEASE THESE FIVE PLAYERS

Staying with the Glamour Boys, the club, like every team around the globe, will bid farewell to a couple of footballers when the season ends.

We have this list of the almost certain five departures after 30 June.

The list includes a few defenders, a midfielder, and one attacking player. Read the full story here.
