As a massive team, opposition coaches will always take a dig at Kaizer Chiefs. The latest is AmaZulu’s Brandon Truter.

Following Kaizer Chiefs often comes with opposition jibes but not many of us expected AmaZulu‘s Brandon Truter to go for the type of shot he took on Sunday.

MTN8: KAIZER CHIEFS 1-1 AMAZULU

As The South African reported on SundayArthur Zwane’s Amakhosi were left disappointed after managing a 1-1 draw with Usuthu at Soccer City.

The visitors went ahead in the first half through Gabadinho Mhango, before substitute Keagan Dolly found the equaliser just after the hour mark.

Usuthu walked away the happier side with an away goal advantage when the two sides meet in the second leg later this month.

POST-MATCH COMMENTS

The post-game chat produced a rather unexpected moment that was purely funny rather than too nasty. Usuthu’s coach Truter simply used a term that had been mostly exclusive to Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns fans.

The former Swallows FC coach from Mitchells Plain, Cape Town, simply referred to beating Chiefs as “fixing the country,” which is his plan in the second leg over in Durban this month.

“Being reduced to 10 men around the 60th minute, having an away goal, coming away 1-1 and then going to Durban,” Truter told journalists as shared by iDiskiTimes’ Lorenz Kohler.

“For us, I think it is a very good result, trying to fix it out, trying to fix the country in Durban,” he added before laughter reverberated around the room.

“The last time Chiefs were in Durban at Moses Mabhida they filled up the stadium, they fill it up wherever they go,” the man known as “Braakies” added.
