Kaizer Chiefs reject set for BLOCKBUSTER move to African giants!

A recently sacked Kaizer Chiefs midfielder is a priority signing for Tanzanian giants Simba SC according to the latest reports!

A recently axed Kaizer Chiefs midfielder has been linked with a sensational move to Tanzania’s Simba SC.

29-year-old Kenyan international Anthony Teddy Akumu has been linked with a move to the Tanzanian giants following his departure from Chiefs.

The midfielder joined the Glamour Boys from Zesco United however he failed to impress in his two years at Naturena.

Akumu made a total of 47 appearances for Kaizer Chiefs, scoring two goals as a Glamour Boy.

He was one of the 12 Amakhosi players who were axed ahead of next season but is swiftly being linked with a return to football!

Kaizer Chiefs reject linked with Simba move!

“He [Akumu] is our top target,” an insider at Simba told GOAL regarding the former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder.

“He is an experienced midfielder, having made his name with Zesco United, and we hope we can have him or someone experienced and with title-winning credentials just like Akumu.

“Everyone knows that Simba will sign a number of big players at the end of the current season. Mainly because we had an underwhelming campaign.

“We need to bring in players with ambition, players with the hunger and motivation to fight for Simba.”

In other news, Kaizer Chiefs legend Doctor Khumalo has been offered a rather surprise opportunity in Tanzania!

According to the Bafana Bafana and Amakhosi legend, he’s been offered a piece of land in Tanzania to build a Doctor Khumalo soccer academy!

A summit to promote and improve the standard of soccer in Tanzania and the Kaizer Chiefs legend has been identified as a key member in helping Tanzania achieve that!

Amakhosi legend offered land in Tanzania!

“The reason Tanzania called for foreign intervention is simply because they want to exchange knowledge.” the Kaizer Chiefs legend told SoccerLaduma.

“They want to build relationships. Influence people to come and invest in their country in terms of building infrastructure, academies.

“And they even told me if I want to build a Doctor Khumalo academy, I’m more than welcome to do so as they will give me the land to build it on.

“It has been said to different individuals who are here because these guys have a vision and want to get things sorted out in the next five to 10 years.

“You can tell that these guys are heading somewhere, and they are making sure that their football is going to grow.

“A country with less resources than we have back home, that’s alarming.” the Kaizer Chiefs legend added.

“There were no political points or topics throughout this summit as all their efforts are on developing and improving their football.”
