Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly lost out on highly talented midfielder Sipho Mbule who’s now set to join rivals Mamelodi Sundowns!

Mamelodi Sundowns are reportedly on course to beat Kaizer Chiefs in the race to land star SuperSport United midfielder Sipho Mbule’s signature!

Mbule has been missing in action for the second half of the current season after being linked with a move away from SuperSport United.

According to reports, his next destination has has been secured and it’s NOT good news for Kaizer Chiefs fans!

Mamelodi Sundowns beat Kaizer Chiefs to Mbule’s signature – Report

According to SABC Sport journalist Mazola Molefe, Sipho Mbule has opted to join Mamelodi Sundowns as opposed to Kaizer Chiefs!

“Sipho Mbule’s new club will be announced at the end of the month. I’m told he’s off to Chloorkop (Mamelodi Sundowns) unless there’s a surprise twist.”

“I am confident that by the end of the month we would have finalised a deal with another football club because I have been given the blessings by Stan Matthews to go ahead,” Makaab told SABC Sport.

“I don’t want to disrupt any of the clubs now because it’s the last games of the (DStv Premiership) league.

“After the Nedbank Cup, I will then engage the clubs I have to engage. Hopefully we can come to some sort of finality.”

In other transfer news, Stellenbosch FC head coach Steve Barker all but confirmed that Zitha Kwinika will be joining Kaizer Chiefs.

“I’d like to wish Zitha well. He’s going back to his boyhood club where he’s developed,” Barker said as quoted by IDiskiTimes.

“Zitha will go back to Kaizer Chiefs, he deserves everything of the best. We wish him well, but be aware that we’re coming for you next season.”
