Kaizer Chiefs have already unveiled two new signings following the close of their 2021/22 campaign.

The ‘major’ revamp at Naturena got underway with the arrival of defender Zitha Kwinika and attacker Ashley Du Preez.

Both arrived from Stellenbosch FC and Junior Khanye has since shared his thoughts on the new Glamour Boys duo!

Junior Khanye opens up on new Kaizer Chiefs duo

“You see, I think that boy (Ashley Du Preez) can do well at Kaizer Chiefs.” Khanye told Citizen.

“They made the right choice by signing him. He has improved so much this season.

“He’s much better than when he first came into the DStv Premiership.

“What we have seen from him in his first season was totally different from what we saw this past season.

“He used to rush a lot and that caused him to miss a lot of goals, but he has always shown that he has a lot of potential.

“That is why I am saying with the right guidance at Kaizer Chiefs, he will be able to reach his best and I believe he can do that under Arthur Zwane.

“They just have to take care of him and show him the right way to do things, that’s just it. Otherwise, I think he is a good signing.”

Khanye unimpressed by Zitha Kwinika

While Ashley Du Preez received high levels of praise, Khanye didn’t feel the same way about former Amakhosi academy graduate Zitha Kwinika’s return to the club.

“Why did he leave in the first time? I don’t really see the point of bringing him back.” the former Kaizer Chiefs star added.

“I mean, if he was that good they could have never let him go. So, I am not impressed, they should have opted for someone else.”

The Glamour Boys are also strongly linked with Golden Arrows star Pule Mmodi who becomes a fee agent next month.
