Itumeleng Khune says Kaizer Chiefs are prepared for a “big battle” in their DStv Premiership clash with leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

Kaizer Chiefs legend Itumeleng Khune has taken his first step into the world of goalkeeper coaching!

Khune is part of a 25-man group that’s currently attending a goalkeeper coaching course in Johannesburg.

The course is being run by Fifa, in conjunction with SAFA. Heading the course is the legendary Fifa instructor Alejandro Heredia.

Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune is the ONLY attendee that’s still playing professionally.

With game-time being virtually non-existent for Khune at Naturena at the moment, it won’t come as a surprise should the Bafana Bafana legend move into coaching in the near future!

According to SunSport, the following coaches are attending the ongoing goalkeeping course in Johannesburg.

Lucky Shiburi, Delisle Mbatha, Cameron Cox, Adolph Mabotja, Monde Hlatshwayo, Dominic Ramokgopa, Tshepo Makgata and David Ribeiro.

Furthermore Tyron Damons, Thembalethu Moses, Rory Minaar and Kaizer Chiefs’ Itumeleng Khune.

Aubrey Mothibe, Wendell Robinson, Moeneeb Josephs, Thabang Stemmer, Pernell McKop, Sean Lowu and Rowen Fernandes.

Shuaib Walters, Musa Langa, Sipho Zimba, Marcus Mashil and Greg Etafia are also in attendance.

According to further reports, Kaizer Chiefs are closing in on three more wingers!

The Glamour Boys are tipped to sign both Kamohelo Mahlatsi and Dillon Solomons from their cross-town rivals Swallows FC.

Mahlatsi (23-years-old) can play as both a winger and a striker. Solomons (26-years-old) has featured as both a wing-back as well as an attacker for Swallows in the past.

Kaizer Chiefs have also been linked with Golden Arrows attacker Pule Mmodi.

Kaizer Chiefs have already unveiled two new signings following the close of their 2021/22 campaign.
