Frosler had been on the sidelines since November 2020, missing 14 games in all competitions in that time.

He is now looking forward to getting vital minutes on the field as he builds his way back to full fitness.

Commenting on his recovery after the team’s final training session ahead of their league clash against Baroka FC on Tuesday, an upbeat Frosler told the Kaizer Chiefs website: “I’ve recovered very well, the doctors and physios are happy.”

The right-back played 26 games in all competitions for Amakhosi last season and has set himself the target of using all the time he gets given by coach Gavin Hunt to play and build himself back up to full fitness.

“I feel great,” he confirmed.

“I just need to build the confidence up again, and that will happen with game time. I want to get stronger and stronger and try and get in some minutes to get fit again.”

Having finally comeback, Frosler is happy to have put a difficult period behind him, including and the frustration of having to watch matches from home.

“During his recuperation period, it is always difficult watching from the stands,” he confessed.

“I don’t like watching from the stands or from home – I prefer watching from the bench. It was hard, but it was nice to see the guys come together and keep going. As we started working together, we started receiving better results.”

With his confidence back up, an eager Frosler is hoping to get some time against Baroka FC on Tuesday and has been keeping an eye on them.

“Baroka are a good team,” Frosler admitted.

“They know how to make life difficult for you. They are a team who are not shy to play. They lost their last game, so they obviously out to get a victory which will obviously be very difficult for us. We just have to stick by each other and go forward.”

With Reeve Frosler back as a further option for Hunt, Chiefs will be looking to continue with their four-game unbeaten run in the league.

The match at the FNB Stadium will kick off at 17:00.
