Kaizer Chiefs latest: Ex-Amakhosi striker still Khama Billiat’s fan

An ex-Chiefs man still has faith in Billiat despite huge criticism from a section of club fans who feels he’s no longer needed at Naturena.

A former Kaizer Chiefs striker still has faith in Khama Billiat despite huge criticism from a section of club fans who feels he’s no longer needed at Naturena.

While Billiat came in highly rated from Mamelodi Sundowns in 2018, but the truth of the matter is that he hasn’t been able to replicate the same form.

However, David Zulu is of the view that Billiat will eventually get back to his best, blaming injuries for his dip in form at Chiefs.

Zulu spoke of Billiat as his future continues to be under the spotlight due to the fact that his contract with Chiefs is expiring in June.

According to Zulu, Billiat still has a lot to give Chiefs on the pitch for the next two to three years, and he believes Arthur Zwane should try harder to get the best out of the Zimbabwean talisman.

“We all know what Khama Billiat does when he’s not injured, we will never take that away, it will never be taken away from him,” Zulu told Thisisfootball.Africa.

“It’s solely that supporters want an impressive performance from him all the time. But Billiat has been unlucky with injuries. Hence, he’s no longer the Billiat we know, the Sundowns’ Billiat.

“It’s just a matter of time for the coach to find a combination that will also suit him (Billiat). I think he still has a lot to give to the club in the next two or three years,”
