Happy Birthday to Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat who is celebrating his 31st trip around the sun TODAY!

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Stuart Baxter has provided an injury update on star attacker Khama Billiat.

Khama Billiat’s injuries woes looked to have followed him into the 2021/2022 campaign after yet another injury enforced substitution during the Amakhosi’s Carling Black Label Cup victory over Orlando Pirates earlier this month.

The news from Stuart Baxter however is that Khama Billiat is fit and raring to go against his former club Mamelodi Sundowns in this weekend’s MTN8 clash!

Baxter provides update on Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat

“Khama is doing excellently in training. He is looking sharp, enthusiastic.” Kaizer Chiefs head coach Stuart Baxter told members of the media.

“He is probably a better all round player than I thought he would be, but that’s what happens when you work with players – you get to know them better.

“Whether that means he will start, or he is a very interesting guy from the bench, the next couple of days will tell me. But certainly Khama Billiat is looking like he is enjoying the work we are doing at Kaizer Chiefs and, two, he is showing his quality,”

Baxter provides a thorough injury update on Manyama, Castro and Zuma

“We’ve got a couple of them who are getting back. Lebo Manyama did his first training with the team the other day. That does not mean he is fit, but it means he is fit to take part in training and get himself match fit. We’ve got the couple of others who have come back from the Olympics, not injured, and they’ve got to slowly get back into things.” the Kaizer Chiefs head coach added.

“We’ve got the ones who have been injured long-term, Leonardo Castro and Dumisani Zuma. We do have our injuries, but at the same time Kaizer Chiefs have got players who have been taking part in training and those are the ones we will be selecting the team from. I can’t see any huge surprises now.”
